Hoeven Announces $200K Grant to Standing Rock Sioux Tribe to Address Veteran Unemployment, Homelessness

WASHINGTON, D.C. – June 24, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) has awarded a $200,000 competitive grant to the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe to provide job training and placement assistance to homeless veterans living on the Standing Rock Reservation.

“Our veterans served our nation with honor and bravery, and they deserve our support,” Hoeven said. “This grant will help ensure that our service members have access to good job opportunities, providing a solid foundation for overcoming their challenges when they return home.”

Today’s award was made through DOL’s Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program.
