WASHINGTON, D.C. – September 22, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Senator John Hoeven, a member of the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has awarded $800,000 to the Spirit Lake Housing Corporation. The funds are made available through HUD’s Community Development Block Grant MOLD Grant program and will help remediate and prevent mold in housing at Spirit Lake.

“Every child and every individual in North Dakota should have a clean and healthy home to live in,” Hoeven said. “This HUD grant will help the Spirit Lake Tribe better meet the housing and health needs of those in their community by ensuring that their homes are free of mold, which can cause respiratory disease and other serious illnesses.”
