Impression 5 Science Center “Energy Day” Offering Fun, Hands-On Learning Saturday

Consumers Energy Sponsoring One-Day Energy Education Event October 17

WASHINGTON, D.C. – October 14, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Families are invited to Impression 5 Science Center this Saturday, October 17, for Energy Day, an event of interactive activities exploring energy and the ways it is generated. “Energy is often something we take for granted, but kids want to make these important connections to science. Energy Day is all about creating hands-on activities to showcase how we’re generating energy for our communities,” said Laura Zeller, external relations supervisor for Impression 5 Science Center.

Participants will be able to make their own biosphere, get creative with snap circuits and build a solar oven, along with many other hands-on activities. Consumers Energy classroom presenters will also provide fun gas safety lessons.

Consumers Energy is sponsoring this first annual special event, and more than 50 employees from Consumers Energy will volunteer at Energy Day.

Admission is free for Impression 5 Science Center members and $7 for others.

Located in downtown Lansing, Impression 5 Science Center is a dynamic, interactive space for families to play, create, and challenge their understanding of science. Energy Day is one of many special focus day events at the Science Center each year targeted to families.
