WASHINGTON, D.C. – March 19, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Three Native American tribes in North Dakota will receive a combined $198,821 to aid in the preservation of historic tribal sites, Congressman Kevin Cramer said today. The grants from the National Park Service are intended to support historic preservation offices on each reservation, which in turn carry out the national historic preservation program responsibilities.
“Preserving tribal heritage is important for those of Native American descent, and also for anyone who seeks a better understanding of native culture and its traditions,” said Cramer.
The funding is distributed as follows:
Spirit Lake Reservation: $63,366
Standing Rock Reservation: $76,417
Turtle Mountain Reservation: $59,038
