HOUSE PASSES H.R. 3700—HOUSING OPPORTUNITY THROUGH MODERNIZATION ACT OF 2015
Congressman Kevin Cramer announced today the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 3700, the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act of 2015. The bill amends the United States Housing Act of 1937 by reforming the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) rental assistance programs and Rural Housing Service Programs. The reforms are aimed at increasing access to affordable rental housing, creating housing opportunity, and improving the effectiveness of the programs.
