BISMARCK - December 28, 2010 - (RealEstateRama) -- The Industrial Commission of North Dakota has approved the 2011 Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Qualified Allocation Plan, making more than $2.4 million worth of federal tax credits available to developers of affordable housing

Des Moines, IA - December 28, 2010 - (RealEstateRama) -- Communities throughout the state of North Dakota were recently awarded $343,000 in affordable housing grants through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines Affordable Housing Program (AHP). The two projects slated for completion with these grants will create 47 homes for lower income families. In total, FHLB Des Moines awarded $16.4 million to 57 projects.

Dishwashers will be installed in most units, and bathrooms, kitchens and other finishes will be updated. MDI Limited Partnership #102 and its general partner, Gary Stenson, acquired the properties and recently started to update both historic buildings. MetroPlains Management, LLC will continue to manage the properties and oversee the improvements.
