BISMARCK, ND – January 08, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — The North Dakota Housing Finance Agency (NDHFA) will host the 22nd Annual Statewide Housing Conference, “Building a Solid Foundation,” on Feb. 6-7, 2013, at the Ramkota Hotel in Bismarck, ND.
“The conference is a great opportunity for leaders in the housing and community development field to come together and discuss ways we can address our state’s housing challenges,” said Mike Anderson, NDHFA executive director.
The conference will begin on Wednesday morning with a breakfast with legislative leaders. Keynote Speaker Steve Gilliland will take attendees on an eye-opening journey to uncover their hidden abilities, unleash energy and accomplish goals. During Wednesday’s lunch, Dr. Richard Rathge will provide an overview of the Statewide Housing Needs Assessment findings. The second day of the event begins with Dr. Sean Snaith presenting on the impact of energy development on North Dakota’s economic future and the role the state’s economy plays within the region and nation.
The conference’s concurrent session topics include: homeownership program updates, inspection standards training, a discussion of residential lending/real estate challenges, a mortgage forecast, tax credit training, understanding fair housing law, and legal issues for property owners and managers.
At Thursday’s luncheon, NDHFA will present its Champion of Affordable Housing awards, honoring individuals and organizations who have made exceptional contributions to affordable housing in North Dakota. Lenders participating in the Agency’s homeownership programs will also be recognized.
North Dakota Real Estate Commission and Board of Social Work Examiners continuing education program applications have been submitted. Credits will be offered upon approval of the program by the accrediting bodies.
