Hoeven Announces More than $12.5 Million in Grants for Fargo, Devils Lake and Dickinson...
Senator John Hoeven, who serves on the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has awarded five grants totaling $12,542,907 to the airport authorities of the City of Fargo, Devils Lake and Dickinson. In addition to the funding the City of Fargo Municipal Airport Authority, the Devils Lake Airport Authority and the Dickinson Municipal Airport Authority were awarded earlier this week, they have received additional formula funding. Senator John Hoeven today announced that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded a $2 million grant from its Hazard Mitigation program to protect Fargo’s wastewater treatment plant from flooding. The improvements to the city’s wastewater system will minimize the risk of sewer backup into public and private property during a flooding incident.
