Heitkamp Helps Secure $24.8 Million to Improve Rural Water Infrastructure in North Dakota
U.S. Senator Heidi Heitkamp today announced that rural and tribal areas across North Dakota will receive a total of $24.8 million in federal funding to help the state expand and improve its water supply infrastructure – more than any other state is being awarded for rural water construction projects this year.

Senator John Hoeven today announced that the Bureau of Reclamation has awarded the Pick-Sloan Missouri Basin Program, Garrison Diversion Unit in North Dakota an additional $17.4 million in funding to build and improve water supply systems in a number of North Dakota and tribal communities. The senator said that with a previous $7.4 million Bureau of Reclamation award for rural water, North Dakota will receive nearly $24.8 million for essential water supply projects.

Senator John Hoeven today announced that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has awarded a total of $408,120 in Tribal HUD-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) grants to the Standing Rock and Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians tribes. Standing Rock received $234,178 and the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians received $173,942.
Heitkamp Announces Federal Housing Support for Native American Veterans
