Hoeven: HHS Awards More than $100,000 to Youthworks for Runaway and Homeless Youth Services
WASHINGTON – September 11, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Senator John Hoeven, who serves on the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, announced today that the Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Administration for Children and Families / ACYF – Family and Youth Services Bureau has awarded $100,412 to Youthworks, a private agency providing a variety of services to youth and families in North Dakota. The funds will be used to support a Basic Center in Fargo, which will work to address the immediate needs of runaway and homeless youth, including shelter and counseling.
“Our young people are our future, and it’s important for us to make sure that North Dakota’s youth have the support they need to become empowered, productive citizens,” Hoeven said. “This grant will go towards helping young people overcome challenges, reunite with family members and build a better life so that they can do just that.”
